Hansel and Gretel

Books

The largest publishing company “Hansol Education” in Seoul (South Korea)
proposed me  to illustrate the famous fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm,
“Hansel and Gretel” for Finden brand.

To create a line of “Classic Tale books” South Korean publishing house independently selected illustrators from all over the world. I was lucky to be in a wonderful company of Award-winning professionals. 😊

The Korean publishers highly appreciated my illustrations for the Wondertales house, and proposed to me a fairy tale with a magic house too.

In this work, I try to show a centuries-old fairy tale with a modern way, preserved old medieval spirit through clothes and houseware. My illustration paper collage technique is also a method of transfering antiquity: some paper looks shabby. All the scenes were made in paper, cut and glued by hand and then photographed.
